Rude Awakening

Quarter 1 has truly been an introduction to a new school; one with new policies and new habits. I have found my quickest routes to each class and have made aquaintances with many students and teachers. All in all, I am prepared to continue to produce a stellar year with my highest work ethic. The rude awakening seen above does not necessarily represent Enriched English...the word "enriched" speaks for itself, and I have seen the standards throughout my past years. However, it is a new beginning for evaluating my study habits and focus on academics in general. Obviously, EE 10 and AP Euro are very demanding, and one must put forth effort to succeed. In english, I plan to focus dilligently on each piece of literature we read in class...that means reading it at a comfortable pace (one capable of comprehension). I will continue to achieve good scores on essays, but also improve and observe Mrs. Froelich's teachings and notes to better my understanding. In addition I will continue to turn assignments in on time and correctly, but will be careful to check for mistakes like MLA errors. Participating in class discussions is another prospect I plan to improve on...hopefully other students will wake up from their sleepy eyes and be enthusiastic for class. With these goals and improvements, I am certain that the remainder of the year will be successful and unforgettable!

Hi Chris! Nice word choice, and I very much agree that EE10 and Ap Euro are tough classes. Also, the "rude awakening" part is honest and I could hear your voice throughout the post. Nice job!

Hey Christof (ha ha)
Great job! I like how you really reflected how you felt about the whole high school experience instead of just EE10. I also have the goal to participate more in class, which I think all of us can do. Good work!

Hey Chris. Nice title, really awesome. I liked how you mentioned finding the quickest route to each class because at the beginning of the year I definitely went the longest way possible without even knowing it, so that was fun. But I thought it was interesting how you said that the standard for Enriched English had been, for the most part, established to you over the years, because this is the first year that I've taken an Enriched English class, and I really didn't know what to expect. Hearing that this is what I've been missing for all of these years made my mind tingle. I'm not quite sure why...

Nice post.

Wow... your writing is awesome, this blog looks as if its an essay! Really nice word choice. I must say I think EE10 is harder than ap euro, I have a much easier time in that class. Odd thing is I have a higher grade in english... whatever :)

Hi! I totally aggree about the "Rude Awakening!" Isn't it really cool though, how quickly you can adjust to such a different work ethic? You're right about all of us being sleepy in class. :D I think we can all work on having more energy.

A well thought out and executed blog entry! I'm glad you feel as if the quarter has been rewarding even if it was a "rude awakening". Effort truly pay in the end, and I know you will be amazed at how strong your writing will be at the end of the year!

Heyyy there Chrissss!!!!! :]]
What a well thought out blog post!!!! I can definately empathize with you on the pains of EE10, and an AP History, and then I also have an AP French. Even though each night, all the homework makes you question why you are putting yourself through this, but after each quarter, it is pretty rewarding knowing that hey, you did it!!
see you tomorrow!!
